March 30th: Bienville National Forest Easter Lily trip.

Meet at Forest, MS at the Wendy’s on Hwy 35 at 9 a.m.  Field trip lasts to noon. This is a flat floodplain forest which seasonally floods. Members are encouraged to wear rubber boots or bring a change of footwear if there is pooling in the forest. Hopefully, there will be the usual show of lilies (Zephyranthes atamasca) in the floodplain. We may also see Southern Meadow Rue (Thalictrum debile), Wild Oats (Uvularia sessifolia), Spring Cress (Cardamine bulbosa).
