Mississippi Sandhill Crane Refuge, Trail Signs

Looking for trail scouts for periodic updates of the plant signs at the Mississippi Sandhill Crane Refuge!

The 3/4 mile trail at the Visitor Center is a wonderful showcase of savanna native plants. Each week a pair of volunteers walks the trail to spot new plants (or other life) of interest, then makes a second round to update the signage. We use iNaturalist for ID help, so you don’t need to be an expert, just an avid learner who likes to help visitors learn about biodiversity. We’ll have a training session. Expect to serve about one session (3 hr) a month.
