Training Description: 

The goal of the festival is to educate the public about Monarch butterflies and how our community can help preserve and protect them with Monarch Way Stations.

SPEAKERS:

  • Dr. Gary Bachman, host of Southern Gardening - Nectar Plants for the Home Garden
  • Dr. Christian Stephenson, MSU Extension - Life Cycle of Butterflies
  • Amy Nichols, Master Gardener - Monarch Waystations & Maintaining Milkweed

This event will also feature educational and hands on activities for all ages and a walking parade for anyone in butterfly regalia (including pets).

Please bring lawn chairs. Butterfly themed costumes are encouraged!

If the weather is bad, the event will be moved to the Pass Christian Library (located at 111 Hiern Avenue).
