Training Description:
Led by conservation grazing researcher and member of the MSU Coastal Conservation and Restoration team, join Maya Stratman for a morning to learn about:
- What is conservation grazing? Maya will cover a brief background on grazing as a habitat management tool so everyone can understand it's historical importance and why it is worth exploring.
- Where to start based on the management goals of the property: We will dive into the questions that need to be answered or considered when designing a grazing plan (species, types of fencing, water source considerstations, etc.).
- What's next: Maya will discuss what we are doing now to answer those questions and what the future of grazing looks like in this lab and beyond.
- Did someone say there will be goats?
