6th Annual Pearl River Clean Sweep

The 6th annual Pearl River Clean Sweep epic river cleanup community service event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept 17!

Over 30 land and water-based cleanup locations are located from the Pearl River's headwaters near Philadelphia, MS, downriver through the Ross Barnett Reservoir, along the border of Mississippi and Louisiana, all the way to Pearlington on the Gulf Coast.  The Sweep also includes locations on the Strong and Bogue Chitto River tributaries.  This event will celebrate drinkable, swimmable, fishable water in 15 counties, 2 parishes, 2 states and over 490 miles of beautiful river!

In the past five years, this event engaged more than 3,400 volunteers and removed over 139,000 pounds of trash from our watershed!
