The NOAA Restoration Center is working with the town of Plymouth, MA to improve fish passage for spawning river herring at Town Brook. They have a camera installed and are recruiting volunteers to count fish on the videos. They have volunteers from 48 states and 40 countries counting fish so far. They are missing Mississippi right now, and I was wondering if you might be able to reach out to your stakeholder groups to see if anyone might be interested in counting river herring to help with this monitoring effort. They would love to get all 50 states involved. It’s a great online activity for kids and adults. Link below.
