It’s easy!
De Soto National Forest is recruiting volunteers for 2018:
- It’s Your River. Make a splash! Across the nation, river enthusiasts, communities and the US Forest Service are preparing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act.
Explore the Black Creek River and clean up as you go.
- Leave it better than you found it! Come clean up dumpsites across the National Forest. We’ll assist with trash bags and site maps. Clean forests provide natural resources we need to exist & thrive, now & in the future!
- Tread Lightly! We need riders and hikers who are willing to help. It takes a vast amount of effort to maintain trails, help us keep them in good condition for future users.
- Pack it In! Pack it Out! Help us maintain our campgrounds, so you don’t have to go far to get outdoors and reconnect with nature.
- Bring a friend. Organize a group. Support your National Forest! Other volunteer opportunities available. See attached flyer for more details.
We’re excited to hear back from you.
