Audubon Delta's Coastal Bird Program

One of Audubon Delta's primary missions is the conservation of beach nesting birds. In Mississippi we monitor and steward 10-20 mainland colonies of Least Terns, totally between 1500-2500 nests annually. In addition, we monitor nesting populations of Snowy and Wilson’s Plovers on islands in Mississippi.

We are always seeking volunteers to help with our monitoring and stewardship efforts. There are a variety of tasks we need help with, and time commitment is fully flexible. If anyone is interested please reach out to Amanda Douglas for more information.
